Who We Are
Trans Infopreneur Inc. is a Bangalore-based translation and editing company founded in 1997.
We work mainly on European-to-English assignments, with long experience in German, French, Dutch, Spanish, Italian, and Nordic languages.
Our projects are mostly in legal, medical, technical, engineering, IT/software, business, and patent domains.
What We Focus On
Our core work is human TEP (Translation → Editing → Proofreading).
We place strong emphasis on grammar, structure, and correct domain usage, because most errors in technical and legal files arise from weak sentence construction and unclear phrasing—not just terminology.
This approach gives project managers predictable and consistent output, even when files are long or technically complex.
How We Work
- Every file is reviewed by an editor who checks sentence logic, connectors, obligation language, unit/number rules, and undefined abbreviations.
- We prepare style guides for ongoing projects so that tone, terminology, and formatting stay uniform.
- For unclear or high-risk phrases, we create phrase-mapping tables that show:
- the source phrase
- the incorrect or ambiguous version
- the corrected human version
- a simple explanation
This makes the reasoning behind edits fully transparent.
Our Proprietary Tools
To support our internal process, we developed Grammar And More and Phrase It Right.
Grammar And More
Helps editors detect grammar issues, structural problems, undefined abbreviations, and inconsistencies faster.
Phrase It Right is used for:
- building style guides
- maintaining terminology rules
- preparing phrase-mapping tables
- documenting client preferences
Both tools are offered as free subscriptions for translators and project managers who want to improve consistency in their own workflows.
Meet Our Founder
Trans Infopreneur was founded in 1997 by Ashok Bagri.
He holds an engineering degree from Bangalore University (1988) and an MBA from the University of Chicago (1990), where he also achieved a 99th-percentile GMAT score.
To strengthen his localisation expertise, Ashok completed the Graduate Course in Software Localisation at the University of Limerick, Ireland (2001) — one of the very few full-year academic programmes in this field — and graduated top of a 70-member cohort.
He also trained on Alchemy Catalyst at Alchemy’s headquarters in Dublin and later completed semester-length courses in terminology and language project management at Kent State University, Ohio (2007).
