File shows following error on opening in SDL Trados Studio 2014:

File name: Jolieke Herstructurering Campus Uilenstede – werkzaamheden-FR v2naarvertaler2jan2014Jolieke Herstructurering Campus Uilenstede v2naarvertaler2jan2014Jolieke Herstructurering.doc

Solution:

1. Shorten the file name to less than 260 characters.
2. The file path or folder/subfolder name in total should not exceed 248 characters.
3. After shortening the name of the file/folder/subfolder, open the file in Studio.
    
   See screenshot below:
    
   
    
4. If above fails as you may not have managed to shorten the name in keeping with the limits mentioned above, you may copy the file to the Desktop. Now the file should open in SDL Trados Studio 2014.
